I enjoyed my stay while visiting the Christmas market. The place was in a central location, allowing me to walk around the old town easily. The breakfast was nice. I was in a room on the top floor with a fireplace, but they did not provide wood for it. I had a pleasant experience.
The spa charged extra for the sauna and steam, which seems uncommon for a 5-star hotel. The bar closed early, surprising.

Well-appointed and lovely romantic room plus an electric kettle, a mini bar fridge and a personal safe. Delicious and savoury breakfasts, with sweets and local cheese, for example. Centrally located hotel, not far from walking distance to major attractions, the square and great restaurants and cafes.

The room was nice and the breakfast was small but nice and good as always.
In former times there were smoking rooms and/or one could smoke in the cosy bar. Now all non-smokers! Also the good restaurant has been rationalized away or is only open during the week with a different kitchen. Unfortunately for me this means that I no longer have a choice in Bratislava! Bummer!

Ambience, cleanliness, location, champagne at breakfast and Mr. Joseph
Wellness area is only open for 4 people at the same time, we were a group of 6 people and were not informed in advance that the area is now completely closed. Several services such as sufficient shampoo and shower gel or hand cream on toilets, which were still available 2 years ago, are no longer available this year, or in insufficient numbers

Noble historical ambiance, fine views of Bratislava Castle, charming boutique experience
The check-in experience felt overly bureaucratic, lacking warmth!!! The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable in certain areas, frustrating to get work done !!! The room layout needs reevaluation too!!!

The hotel provided a awesome breakfast buffet with an extensive selection, including gourmet options that set us up for the day.
Unfortunately, the parking situation was rather inconvenient as it involved using a public garage nearby without any assistance for luggage transport.
